It’s not much like Mr. West to disappoint. At this point, after “Mercy” effectively owned the summer, it looks like we’ll be rockin to “Clique” for the next few months, minimum. And yet, even with all the theatrics so far–Yeezy’s double-time, ravey verse on “Mercy”, Hit Boy’s absolute beast of a track for “Clique”, easily the best verse of 2 Chainz’ life–it still felt like the G.O.O.D. Music compilation was missing something sufficiently epic. I mean, to be fair, that has a lot to do with Ye’s track record. But fortunately, for us, and apparently the world, there’s this. The glorious, heroic return of Kellz? Check. “All of the Lights”-style giganticism? Check. Orchestra-sized string section? Trapped out drums? Shots fired at Mitt Romney? The Rick James reference of the year? Well, you get the idea. This shit is just too much fun.
